Granted that the farmhouse policy
is based on a wise selection of its staff and products, we assure that
all the farming products listed below are, for a long time, cultivated
biologically.
Citruses
Villa veronica is born in 1999 as citrus farm. A particular graft called
Interdonato, or Special, makes the difference on the lemon threes. The
main peculiarity of this kind of lemon is that it is produced in a period
when there are not other kinds of lemon (i.e. September-December), but
also because of its beauty, brightness and high quality: that is why
it is exported everywhere.
Olive
oil
The farm owns a painstaking olive grove which makes use of the Mediterranean
ogliastro, a special kind of fruit graft coming from Calabria. Its oil
is characterized by its lightness (less than 50% acidity) combined to
its inimitable taste, flavour and colour.
Remember that Mandanici is called “the olive oil’s city”
where the oil is still made using traditional domestic methods, that
is to say that the olives are only squashed inside the mechanism of
the traditional oil meal.

Vegetables
The main products obtained from the fields’ farming are tomatoes,
aubergines, potatoes, onions, etc. This production is totally exploited
in the farm either fresh, either conserved using ancient local methods
that are executed in the proper farm premises.
Flours
Recently two new activities have been successfully started up in a few
areas of the farm:
1. nursery gardening in open area
2. flours in a sheltered place
The main flours are: roses, cijgas and sterlizi.
Remarkable is that this kind of activity adds a considerable decorative
touch to the complex, especially in springtime.
The
orchard
One of the allotments bought by the owner of the farmhouse was formerly
an illegal dump, now wisely drained and transformed in a well-watered
peach orchard that begins to give tangible and satisfying results.
